I have tried to capture daddy singing his song to sugar bear on numerous occasions but either he would mess up or she wouldn't be as animated as she usually is. Anyway, I finally gave up on catching her laughing away and cooing to the song and settled for daddy singing it to her without messing up. Anyway, she really loves this song especially when daddy sings it.

They are here!
Missy my roomate from college and the bridesmaid I have posted about previously had her twins on Tuesday and they are doing great...tiny..but great. Anne-Claire was 3 pounds 11 ounces and Elise was 2 pounds 10 ounces. The girls are 4 days old and are already doing kangaroo care and have been removed from their CPAP and over to vapotherm which just gives them a little pressure to assist their breathing! Anyway, to me it is just so amazing to see them doing so well. Here are my favorite pics. You can see more on Missy's blog.

Hey there folks! It is Bailey here! I am 22 weeks old today and mom has that silly monkey out again. I asked her if I could post since I havne't been on the computer in a while. Actually I sit with mom at the computer a lot. She is getting a little worried though becasue I have started punching the keys and banging on it. :) he he! Anyway, mom is real excited about summer coming soon and I guess I am too. Although I think I might miss Marjorie and all the kids there a little this summer. Here I am with this silly monkey laying on the boppy..I think I getting to big to lay around with monkey.

5 months old!
Wow oh wow my Bailey girl! You are 5 months old! I love you so much and you are so beautiful. Me and your daddy just can't get enough of you and we love to hold and cuddle you. I go in to check on you at night before I go to bed and I just sit there and look at how beautiful you are and how much I love you! Anyway, here is what you are up to these days at 5 months.
1) You love to be held. I am hoping that you will always be cuddley
2) You can put the death grab on everything including mommy's hair.
3) You really smile and laugh and interact with those around you..
4) You are always happy on the changing table and really let out some good laughs now
5) You are very distracted while nursing especially if Duke or daddy are in the room. If daddy is in the room you think it is all about playtime
6) Some of your 6-9 month clothes are getting tight and I switched you to size 3 diapers this weekend
7) I am guessing you weigh between 16 and 17 pounds
8) You eat the bare minimum at the sitters and are making for it with me in the evenings and the night
9) You love to be outside
10) You chew on everything you get in your mouth. You havne't put your feet in your mouth yet though.
11) You don't have any teeth and don't really show any signs of teething
12) You very rarely cry unless you are sleepy
13) You are sitting pretty good now but still need a little help. I think you will definelty sit on your own in the next few weeks
14) You love bath time.
15) I love snuggling with you in the morning before I go to work. It is the best time in the world.
We love you so much Bailey bear. I am so excited about the summer. I am looking forward to teaching you to sit, eat food, crawl, and take you on vacation. In fact on your 1/2 birthday we will be in Florida on your first beach vacation!

My Memorial Day
So, I am here at work. Craziness I know since as school teachers we are usually not at school when ever one else is at work. As you can see since I am typing on this blog it is a real productive day at school. I have threatened piles of worksheets if they can't behave and not drive me nuts. Otherwise, I have placed an assignment in front of them and I am tolerating a moderate amount of talking. I figure why fight the fight right? Anyway, I have made an interesting observation about the kids who are here today. Some of the "good" kids are here because their parents don't think they should miss a day of school just because especially if they didn't have plans. However, the majority of kids that are here are the ones that drive you nuts. They are the kids who are never absent because frankly their parents don't want them at home either! "Johnny the school bus is here get on it!" He he! I know it is mean but any school teacher can attest that this is true. Anyway, I hope that everyone is having a wonderful memorial day. The bear is home with Dad so I am sure they are having their little party without me. :(

Bailey's First Camping Trip
Bailey had her first camping trip this weekend. Yes, we took Bailey camping and no we are not crazy. When I told people that we were taking Bailey camping and staying in a tent I got a lot of strange looks and a lot of disbelief that we would take a baby camping! Of course I got a lot of strange looks when I went camping 7 months pregnant too. Anyway, I have been camping since I was in diapers so I figure the earlier you start the better. Bailey loved every minute of it. Mostly because it involved being outside and being held constantly by someone...both of which she loves! :) She just sat there taking in everything. We ended up with nice camping weather because it was not to hot and we only had a brief 10 minute rain. Anyway, I enjoyed camping so much with Bailey bear and look forward to many more trips.

Bear meets the BIG CATS
We went to In Sync Exotics today in Wylie to see the Big Cats and enjoy a beautiful spring day! When my mom first told me about this place I thought it would be sad to go and see animals in cages. However, once you start reading about them and here their stories you realize what a wonderful place this is for them and that the people caring for them are great. It is truely amazing how close you get to get to the cats. There are just two fences that are about 2 feet apart between you and them so it is like you can almost reach out and touch them. The bear enjoyed herself as well all though she mostly just enjoyed the cool breeze and being carried around by daddy in the papoose (they do not allow strollers by the way) and was asleep by the end. :) I took way to many pics but just couldn't help myself! :)
Worn out from all the cat watching!
