Deck the Halls

I have got the halls in the Williams household decked out! When we first chose this floorplan I already had visions of Christmas! HA! Anyway, luckily for some reason I have had a million strands of lights for years that I have never used. I don't know if I went crazy some after holiday sale or what! Anyway, we got it all decorated and I am liking it A LOT!

My little elf helper

I do believe the tree will be redecorated many times this year!

Thanksgiving 2010

We had a good relaxing Thanksgiving and ate too much! I also have only 3 pictures to show for it! HA! I forgot my camera and took these with my phone and I guess my sister must have been alseep to not have her camera out! We usually have our thanksgiving meal at lunch but my Dad had to work (yes on thanksgiving....what's next Christmas) and we were really hoping to go and greet Karen and HG at the airport (didn't happen but more on that later) so we had a early dinner! It was yummy. My nephew, Davey, LOVES cars and so Suigie was in heaven with all of his cars. Sugie's cousins love to entertain her and I love that they give me a break! :) Anyway, here are the few pics I caught with my camera.
Car fun with the cousins!
Look at all these cars mama

Isn't that the sweetest? Sugie got hurt and she let my Poppy comfort her. She also had only had a 30 minute car nap so she was quite sleepy. It brought back memories of the many hours that I have sat in my dad's lap! Priceless moment!

Home with mama and the big slide

Tomorrow it is back to reality for me and Sugie! We have had a great week off together and have been enjoying staying up late, having a late afternoon nap and sleeping in late! HA! Can you see my main highlight was sleep? I feel really well rested and even skipped my afternoon nap today so that I could actually go to bed tonight at a decent hour. Sugie has been going to bed around 9 and I have been staying up until midnight and then she has been sleeping until like 8:30. Anyway, I am sure I will have to be dragging her out of bed in the morning because she slept until 4:30 this afternoon and will probably not be ready for bed at her usual 8. Anyway, we have had a great time! I am really trying to cherish these moments just me and her. She is at such a fun age. She is really communicating with me and putting little phrases together that just crack me up. The most funny is that she says, "See it" except it doesn't sound like "Seeit" it sounds like shit! Ha! Pardon my french but it just cracks me up. :) Anyway, I love when she adds mama to her phrases like drink mama etc. The weather at the beginning of the break was beautiful as you can tell we are at the park with shorts on. It was REALLY windy this day but warm. Bailey loves this park by our house that has this really big, bumpy slide and it goes fast! So fast that it has actually flown her off the end of it so I have to slow her down when she goes or she will fly across the playground. It doesn't seem to slow her down. I loved this week so much with my sweet little Sugie! :)

ARe you ready mama?

WEEEEE!!!!

Cheese!

She took her shoes off. I guess she was too hot! HA! I just love the way she says "feet" and "shoes" TOO CUTE!

First "Chore"

Bailey already has a chore! HA! I would hardly call it that because she loves every minute of feeding Duke! If you ask her if she wants to feed duke she says, "chow, chow, chow" because that is what we call his food. Then when she puts it in his bowl she calls him, "Duke" She is very careful to feed him and even picks up any pieces that she drops. The only problem is that she sometimes wants to feed him more than he needs! I don't think he would object but this mama does. Here are some pics of her doing her first "chore"

Gestation of a....

You are probably wondering the gestation of a what? Well, that has been the joke between me and my sister the last couple of years regarding the adoption of her 3rd child from Guatemala. Her family decided that they would adopt HG about 3 years ago when she was only 3 years old. My sister had no idea it would be such a LONG road. We used to always say well I guess you must now endure the gestation of a "insert animal" until the gestation of a elephant had come and gone and I think that it has one of the longest at 2 years! In a world of scheduled inductions and c-sections no one really wants to "wait" on their "baby" to come so enduring 3 years is crazy for most to imagine. I probably couldn't do it but then of course I am not my sister and I am pretty sure she is super woman! HA! :) Anyway, just thought I would share the good news and ask you for a little thought and prayer on Thursday morning as they wait on another piece of the puzzle to come together for her to finally come home. Oh ya, that pic above is "super sister" and HG themselves. You can read more about the journey here.

Holy cow! 28 weeks! I can't believe how fast this pregnancy is going. I am alredy starting to make maternity leave sub plans for school and McKenzie is going to be here just around the corner! Anyway, it has been sort of a rough month for me. I have never had morning sickness and feel great during pregnancy but I somehow managed to have 2 stomach viruses in the last month! They just about put me 6 feet under. The first was vomiting and the second was diarrhea. I am not sure which is worse but I felt horrible during both of them. The second one was this weekend and I feel like I am still recovering and today was the first day I felt pretty normal. Anyway, I had my 28 week appointment today for miss Mckenzie! Everything with her is looking great. I did, however, have a little protein in my urine so she wants to see me back in a couple of weeks. She suspects it is due to being dehydrated from my most recent stomach virus but did order an extra test to make sure everything is ok. Everything else with me was fine including blood pressure so I really feel that it is recovering from the stomach bug. Anyway, here is the rest of the details...

How far along? 28 weeks and a couple of days

Total weight gain? About 5 pounds. It was actually less than that today at doctors office but I think it is just the two stomach viruses that have done me in and I will be back to normal in a few days.

Maternity clothes? Mostly although I still wear normal shirts too

Sleep? Pretty good except for when I have been sick

Stretch marks? Hopefully no new ones! :)

Best moment this week? Hearing Sugie say, "Kenzie" this week when she pointed at my belly

Movement? Lots. McKenzie is pretty active most days.

Food Cravings? Nothing really strange lately.

Labor Signs? Nope

Button in or out? In

What I miss: I cant really think of anything.

WHat I am looking forward to: Seeing what McKenzie's personality will be like one day!

It warms my soul....

....to finally see my Sugie playing "dress up" with her dolls. The above picture is horrible but it is evidence. My flash was off and then about the time I got the camera Trev came in the door and Duke was running all around so I lost the moment. As I have mentioned before she really has shown no interest in her dolls. If you would ask her about her baby she would get the dolls for you to play with but she could care less! Anyway, in the last week she has started putting her shoes and socks on the babies (and stuffed animals). Doesn't seem like much but it is a lot to me! Anyay, here are a few pics of her a daddy playing babies. :)

Socks on a sock monkey! HA!

Socks and shoes for the sock monkey!

Or how about a tiny baby with big old Sugie shoes! HA! :)
I love you little Sugar bear! You are getting so big in the last few months! :)

Broken Bow

We took a nice little weekend trip up to Broken Bow, OK. We have always wanted to go in the fall to see all of the fall colors. Well, I guess we have had a little bit too warm of a fall becuase a lot of things were still green! Oops! Oh well we still had a good time. I will let the pics tell the story.

The fall colors were just changing so we did catch a glimpse

We went and road this little train. I don't know how I got 2 people in my life who REFUSE to smile for the camera but I did! :)

Ready for the trian ride.

Sugie soon fell into her Train Trance

We saw lots of deer along the way.

Silly Sugie had a fun time playing outside all weekend. We had beautiful weather. It did get pretty chilly at night so I was glad we were in a cabin and not camping! HA!

Of course we found the playground.

I have learned that Sugie's favorite kind of playgrounds are ones with lots of bridges

We did some walking in the forest

Our cabin that kept me nice and warm at night! We all slept great!

The pond at the resort we stayed at looked really pretty.

Me and my sugie!

Daddy and Sugie

Sugie and Daddy talking it over. HA!

Beavers Bend Lake - If you have never been to this lake you must go soon! It is beautiful!

Trev skipping rocks at the lake

Sugie "skipping" rocks

Sugie and Daddy playing around

Sugie even found time to clean my car.

Our cabin had a nice fire pit outside so we were able to enjoy a little "camping"

The best part of the trip was using a DVD player for Sugie. She has shown no interest in watching TV at home but I thought she might enjoy it in the car. So, I borrowed a DVD player from a friend and it kept the Sugie entertained the whole 3 hour car trip. If the DVD would end or the car would turn off she would let us know by saying "uh oh" I say, "uh oh", we may have created a monster! HA!

Trick or Treat!

Yes, I am just now getting around to doing my trick or treat post! Sugie looked less like a Punky Brewster this time but she did still wear her wings upside down because when I turned them the right way they hit her in the head and she was not too thrilled about that! HA! Anyway, she was not into the trick or treating a whole lot but did like to ring the door bell and put the candy in her bucket which she refused to carry! :) Anyway, here are the pics.

The Fam

We started at the neighbors house. Sugie is always watching all the big kids intently. Here she looks like she is talking it over with them!

The girls of the neighborhood! No boys allowed!

This was the first door. Sugie stood in the back and was very unsure and then left when the other girls did! Obviously we needed a different angle on this trick or treating!

So the next door we went it alone including ringing the door bell and she got her candy!
Then put it in the bucket!

DEAD MAN!

I thought I would put this pic in of Sugie and Duke's girlfriend Maggie. She is much more tolerant of Sugie climbing all around her! :)
