A little piece of land

Trev and I have been looking at buying some land in a community in royse city for over a year now and have found a lot we really like and our offfer has been accepted. It isn't officially ours and probably wont' be for a little while but I thought I would share a few pics of it. It is a 2 acre lot and there is not time limit to build. The pic on the left is looking at the lot from the front.

Here is an aerial shot of the land outlined in red. The quality of google aerial maps decreases greatly the further you get from civilization so excuse the quality. I will try and get a better shot the next time I am up in my helipcopter! ;)

We really like the community because it has a preservation area that is right up our alley (see pics below). In fact we have been "stealing" the amenity for a year now with walks out there and recently took a little canoe ride on the small little lake. We have even seen deer! Anyway, no we are not looking to build right away but will probably look at building in a few years. Come out and visit sometime and we will give you a tour. :)

Baby Bailey in the Womb

We had a 3D sonogram on Saturday and Bailey is for sure a girl! She had her legs spread wide open for the world to see. We will have to work on her more lady like manners once out of the womb. These are a few pics of her. We have ton of pics on a CD and even have the 20 minute DVD of the entire sonogram. She kept putting her hand in front of her face so we had a hard time getting good pics. She also would open up one of her eyes. She is already head down I think waiting to take on this big bad world. :) I am not sure if it is really what to she is going to look like but I guess we will see in about 12 more weeks! Trev of course thought the whole thing was a little creepy! :) Our internet has been down and that is why I am just now getting these posted. I also had my 28 week appointment today and everything is going along well! :)

Childbirth 101 has begun

Trev and I are back in school! Well, in school for childbirth that is. We had our first of 8 classes last night and it was really informative and relaxing We are taking a Bradley Method class (http://www.bradleybirth.com/) and since it's focus is relaxation through birth then you get to practice relaxation exercises! I am hoping that Trev is going to be able to survive the videos that they are going to have us watch. The instructor reminded him that he has eyelids and that he can close them. :)

Crib Shopping!

Finally after shopping all day on Saturday and going from store to store we finally found a crib that we liked. We ended up with something totally different than we orginally thought. We had thought we would get a medium brown color crib, however, everystore that we would go in would have a bedding set similar to ours on a very dark brown or black crib and so I thought hmmmmm...that sure does look good. Anyway, so here it is. The color is called espresso and it is a very deep brown almost black. We got the crib and the Combo Unit which is a dresser and changer in one. We are excited and it should be here in the next week or so. :) I will post some pics once we get it situated in the room and maybe a few of Trev putting it together. They won't be much fun though because he is way to handy for it to look like distressed father trying to put together the crib. :)

Feeling Crafty

I found letters on sale today at Hobby Lobby so decided I would go ahead and start on some decorations for Bailey's room. I had seen these letters at Babies R' Us for $10.00 a piece! Yikes! I got all of the letters for less than $10 and the whole project: paint, letters, and ribbon I did for less than $20. Crazy people preying on pregnant hormonal women. :) Anyway, I painted them pink and attached red gingham ribbon. I am going to paint her walls green so I think it will tie her bed set together nicely. :)
