It's a GIRL!!!!!

We had our ultrasound today and the ITS A GIRL!!! We are both so excited! Congrats to all who had there bets on a girl! She is measuring right on track and according to u/s weighing in at 11 oz. As most of you already know we will be naming her Bailey Marie Williams unless we change our minds before December. We promptly went over to Target to buy our first girl item. I have been dying to buy stuff! Anyway, Trever actually picked it out so I guess he does have a soft side to him for a girl. It is really cute! Check out the bottom of the little foot!

20 Week appointment - Annoyed and EXCITED!!

I had my 20 week appointment today and the baby is doing great with a heartbeat of 148 bmp. I didn't really care for the doctor that I saw today and was annoyed that the doctor I saw last time didn't schedule my sonogram like she was suppose to despite me asking her a couple of times about it. Anyway, I am annoyed with this doctors office and am thinking that I have a perfectly good barn to birth in...:) There were more annoying things but I will save you the details. Anyway, the BIG sonogram is tomorrow. So, place your bets people! The appointment is at 1:30 so hopefully baby will cooperate and tell us that they are a he or a she. My bets are on a girl! :)

Colorado Trip 2008

We just got back from Colorado and it was wonderful to escape the Texas heat and visit with family. We visited with Trev's mom a few days in Colorado Springs and then headed to Buena Vista where Trev's aunt and grandparents live. Trev's dad and brother and family were also there and we had a good time. I didn't take many pictures this year because we have gone for the last 3 years. So sorry there aren't many pictures of people. I was sort of relaxing too much I guess! Anyway, below are a few pictures. Hope you enjoy!

3 out of 4?

3 out of 4? What? Pregnant thats what! From left to right we are all pregnant: Jenna, Catharine, and Me! The only one who is not pregnant is Missy (she actually had baby #1 in her belly here) and she had her second baby in the fall of last year. So, Missy I don't know if you were ready for baby number 3 yet but watch out...you are close to bridesmaid baby dust! :) Anyway, I am so excited that we are getting to experience this together. Especially since I sort of thought waiting to have babies when I was 30 meant having them well after everyone else had! In case you are curious I am due in December, Jenna is due in Feb and Catharine is due in March. :) Yipee!

Is that the bean moving or is it just gas?

Isn't it great to live in the 21st century and have a wealth of information at our fingertips on the internet? Or is it? So, I have thought that I may feel the bean moving in the last couple of days, but since I have read so much about what this should feel like it is hard to know if it is acutally for real. I have read that it feels like popcorn popping, butterflies or goldfish swimming around. To me it feels like little flutters that are most noticable when lying flat on my back. Don't worry I don't live in ignorance and yes I have also read lying flat on your back at this stage is a big no no. There is a good possiblity that these flutters are just the mexican food I had for dinner and because of all the reading that I have just convinced myself it is really the bean moving. Who knows? Maybe once the bean is kicking me in my ribs I will be like, "yep that was definelty the baby!"

The Barn is FINISHED!!!

Well it has taken Trev almost 2 years but he is finally finished with the barn. Mental note to self: If your husband tells you he wants to build a 800 square foot barn maybe you should disagree. :) Just kidding!
When we first bought the house it had a dilapadated, old horse barn. He was originally going to keep that and build a new barn in a different spot. Then one evening he had a vision that this old dilapadated thing could be built into something grand and I found him on his computer drawing out plans. I must tell you the magnitude of it did not shine through on the drawings to me and probably not to Trev either. Here is the barn in it's orignal form when we first bought the house.

Trev stripped everything down to the original telephone poles that supported the old barn and started from there. He hired a contractor to pour the slab and then began the framing.

Trev's Dad came for one weekend and helped him put the metal on the roof and that was a big help. The rest of the work he did all by himself.
The side of the barn was done in rough sawn cedar boards. This was the longest part of the project and were he began to run out of steam and took a short 9 month break. :) So, the barn sat somewhat like this for a while.

Last 4th of July all of our friends prompted us to have a 4th of July party this year so that we could legally set off fireworks. Trev made it his goal to have the barn finished in time for the party. So, back to work he went. :) We had the party Friday night and everything went great despite the neighbors setting fire to the pasture twice...at least it wasn't the barn. Here are some final pictures of the barn. Come on out and see it when you get a chance!

16 weeks and the bean is doing great!

I had my 16 week checkup today and everything is going great. The nurse found the heartbeat right away with the doppler this time so I didn't get sent into having a heart attack. The bean's little heart was beating at a good 151 bmp. My next appointment is on July 30th and at that appointment I will schedule an ultrasound which should be that next week. So the bean will hopefully be letting us know whether it is a girl or a boy the first week of August! :)

Sock Boy

Poor Duke. His life has been rough lately. Just when he was getting used to being the only fur kid in the house he now has a sore up in between his toes. He refuses to leave it alone and irritates it further so I have sentenced him to sock wearing. Here he is pouting about wearing it.
:( Poor Duke. By the way, the floor that he is pouting upon is our new flooring in the office. We only have one room with carpet now! Yipee! :)
