How to Love a CHild

I am not sure were all this originated but my La Leche Leader gave it to us last week and I thought it was too heart warming not too share. Of course, I had to add a few pictures! HA!

How To Love a Child

Be there

Say yes as often as possible.

Let them bang pots and pans

If they are unlovable, love yourself.

Mail letters to God

Plant licorice in your garden.


If they're crabby, put them in water.

Realize how important it is to be a child.

Open up.

Stop yelling.

Go to the movies in your P.J.s.

Express your love.

Suprise them

Say no when necessary

Make lots of forts with blankets.

Teach feelings.

Heal your own inner child.

Learn about parenting

Hug trees.

Realize how small they really are.

Make loving safe.

Bake a cake together and eat it with no hands.

Giggle a lot.

Plan to build a rocketship.

Imagine yourself to be magic

Reveal your own dreams.

Search out the positive

Read books out loud with joy.

Keep the gleam in your eye.

Speak kindly.

Paint their tennis shoes...and yours.

Handle with caring.

Sing a lot.

Go find puppies and kiss them.

Watch for angels.

Watch snails.

Teach them that to be confused is to be ready to learn.

Cry during movies.

Spin them until you're all dizzy.
