Meaningful Christmas Days 11, 12, 13, 14

A little behind....gotta catch up...

Day 11: Having a Good Attitude:  "So Joseph went from Nazareth up to Behtlehem for the census.  He went with Mary, his fiancee, who was pregnant."  Luke 2: 1-5 modified

I told Bailey how that when Jesus was born a long time ago there were no cars and Mary had to ride on a donkey all the way to bethlehem.  I told her that they had really good attitudes even though it was probably not fun.  I reminded her that we have to be happy and do stuff even though it might be hard sometimes.  I asked her if anything was ever hard for her.  She said, "Do you think mary could have used my pink car."  Glad she is listening!

Day 12: No Room in the Inn:  "While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son.  She wrapped him in cloths and placed in him a manger because there was no room for them in the inn." Luke 2:6-7

I explained to Bailey that when they got to Bethlehem all the hotels were full so they had to go and use a barn to have Jesus.  I asked her what it would be like to be born in a barn. "It would be gross, mommy." Crazy girl!

Day 13: Born in a Manger: "Whle they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, as son.  She wrapped him in clothes and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. "  Luke 2:6-7

I told her that when Jesus was born they placed in a manger which is like a little baby bed with hay.  She had made one at school so rebembered that.  I told her that when shew as born that she didn't like to lay in her bed that she likes me to wrap her up really tight in a blanket and held her tight.

Day 14: Shepherds were Afraid "And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night.  An angel of the Lord apppeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified.  But the angel said to them, Do not be afraid.  I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.  Today in the town of David a SAvior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.  This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger."  Luke 2: 8-12
