Meaningful Christmas: Day 5, 6, and 7

Day 5: Believe: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."  John 3:16

Bailey was not really into the ornament thing on this night so she wasn't real talkative.  She just kept answering, yes, to everything I asked her. :)  She did say that she knew that Jesus was God's son but that was about it.  No cutie phrases from her! HA!

Day 6: Bethlehem: "But you, Bethlehem, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will rule over Israel, whose origins are from old, ancient times." Micah 5:2

I asked Bailey, "Do you know what this is a picture of on the ornament?"  She said, "It is a city!"  I told her it was Bethlehem and asked her if she knew who was born there and she said, "Jesus!"  I bet her preschool teachers would be glad to know that she is paying really close attention! :)  I told her he was born a really long time ago and that is why we celebrate Christmas was to celebrate his birth.  I asked her if she knew what city she was born in and she said, "I was born in your belly."  HA! I am loving her answers and can't wait to see how they change over the years!

Love this ornament and I don't think the picture does it justice.  It is good and sparkly!

Day 7: Promises: "Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel."  Isaiah 7:14

I asked Bailey if she knew what the rainbow meant and she said, "That it is raining!" Duh?!?!

Anyway, we talked about promises and what that meant but I am not sure that she really grasp the concept! :)
