Lake Fun

I aboslutely love this time of year.  It is usally not to hot yet but warm enough to enjoy so many activities outside that I love.  I really miss camping but with Mckenzie's lack of sleep over the last 2 years we have not been willing to torture ourselves to tent camping with a baby who doesn't sleep!

However, we decided that we were ready to give it a chance this weekend and the girls were so excited.  My family was out camping so we thought we would just camp for one night with them.  But then there was a decent chance of rain and thunderstorms on Saturday and night and I have camped in a tent in a storm without kids so I imagine that the misery is exponential with kids so we decided to just go out to the lake for the day.  It was a lot of fun and we even avoided the storms and only got rained on a few times.

I am so glad that the girls love being out and about outside at the lake.  We took a little family kayak ride up one oft he little arms of the lake.  They love it so much and Bailey asks 1,247 questions.

My niece Harper did not used to be a fan of the water but now she has become a little fish.

Sugie making her mean face.  She was actually really impatient and wanting to go to the lake ASAP!

 '
My mom has this fun water trampoline and slide.  Bailey thought it was fantastic and spent almost the whole day on it.

I haven't been able to get her to eat a meat sandwich in months but she scarfed down 2 of them while we were there.  Guess she was working up quite an appetite.

Sugie and Haper had a blast ont he trampoline

Bailey haning out with the big girls.  She screamed so loud that she about drove them away! HA!

The water was pretty cold so Sugie spent a lot of time just floating around on the trampoline

Sister jumped for a bit on the trampoline but she was not crazy about how it moved around in the water or the time when her daddy almost dumped her off into the lake. So, she played in the sand and got dirty as usual.

My niece, Hanna, will not let me take her picture so Lisa was trying to help me out.  Doesn't look like much luck on my part.

Harper could barely keep her eyes open so she had a little snooze.

We had yummy fajitas for dinner made by chef Karen

Another failed attempt at taking Hanna's pic

Snacky twist

At least Hope lets me take her picture and is always smiling! :)

Trev is known in my family at campgrounds as "cobbler man" becuase he makes cobbler in the dutch oven.  This time he had a couple of little helpers.

They thought it was fantastic to help

I thought it might encourage them to actually try it but no such luck

Bailey said she tried it at school and didn't like it.  I have no idea what she is talking about but she has said that on more than one occasion

Rockwall CNC Creations

I thought I would do a little husband bragging for a moment.  As most of you know Trev is very handy.  If you remember he built Mckenzie's crib and can pretty much build anything.  You can see Mckenzie's crib here.  Anyway, his newest venture is making these really cool signs and has even started a little side buisness called Rockwall CNC creations.

A girl he works with wanted him to make a sign for her Scentsy buisness.  I love the purple lights.  He has been making quite a bit of these and people are loving displaying them at their booths.

Here is Tiffany's displayed at a craft show.

The neighborhood girls got interested with all the noise from the garage and ordered up this sign. They actually got it in purple lights but here it is displayed in blue lights.

He made these cool looking signs in red.

Then made a really big one for the wall.

Anyway, he is working on getting a website and FB page up and running but I just thought I would do a little bragging on him today. He can pretty much make and cut any sign you want.  If you would like a sign of your own or your buisness or for personal use then you can email him at rockwallcnc@gmail.com

Last Day of School

Today was Sugie's Last Day of School.  She was excited beacuse she told me it meant it was summer which means more swimming and going to the beach.  Also that next year she would go to big kid class.

She has matured over this school year in so many ways.  I was pretty anxious about sending her to school.  I knew that she wanted to go and that she was ready but also missed seeing her sweet little face every day.

She has had a great year and has changed so much.  She has also learned so much as well.  She can now write her name in upper case letters very well, draw elaborate pictures and mostly color within the lines.  She knows all of her uppercase letters, a few letter sounds, a few lower case letters, and wants to write everything herself as I spell it out for her.  She cracks me up because I will say the next letter is G and she will say, "How do you spell G?" HA!

I think you can see the changes in her face more here.

Twisty has changed quite a bit too.  She of course wanted in on the action.

Here she is back in Septemeber going to meet the teacher.

We have enjoyed our special time together while Bailey is at School.  It was nice to just to have one on one time with her and she loved taking Bailey and Braden to school and going back to pick them up.  She also loved to go and visit the big fish tanks and run up and down the ramps at the church.  She would nap before we picked them up from school and she would say, "I go to night night so I go get Braden and Sugie." I often would have to wake her up to go pick them up and she would say as soon as I would wake her out of a deep sleep, "Go get Braden and sugie?" She missed them!

It's amazing how easy having one kid is! HA! Only one little person to keep happy running errands! I thought briefly about putting her in MDO next year but I haved decided I am not.  I want to enjoy that special time with her a bit more next year.  Hopefully we will go on more adventures. :)

Braden has been riding along with us to and from school since November.  The girls have loved having someone around to play with them.  We spent at least an hour after school playing on the playground outside or inside.  They have really loved it.

It is funny how things change.  By the end of the year this is how things looked.  Bailey and Braden full speed ahead of me to get to there class.  Often by the time I got in the door with Mckenzie, Bailey was already in her class!

Ms. Kristin and Ms Marisa were her teachers this year! They have been AWESOME!  Actually that might be an understatement!  This is them at meet the teacher.  Bailey loved them from day 1.

This is them today.  She loves them so much! As I said they have been spectacular.  Bailey had an awesome year and I know that they had a part in making that happen.  They have been so great to work with and helped Bailey through some rough patches that she had in the afternoon back in the early school days.  So blessed and so thankful for these two!

Then they blew me away again today with this awesome book that they put together for each kid.

It had artwork and pictures throughout the year.  I wanted to cry.  I love to have everything documented with my kids. So, having a book with all the things I wasn't there to see is the best gift anyone could give me.  Seriously it is so AWESOME!  Thanks so much Ms. Kristin and MS. Marisa

I thought this was a great picture of hte class. This is with Ms.Shelly her music teacher who Bailey also loved and adored.  Bailey has taught me many songs that I have long since forgotten and gets the family together for musical chairs.  She also loved her teacher in discovery Ms. Autumn.  It has just been such an awesome year! She is very excited to go to her "big kid" class next year!
