Mermaid Talk

My kitchen view at the moment.  Sugie, the mermaid, doing a puzzle and sister playing with her little toy.  Anyway, to my original purpose of this post.  I bought a used mermaid costume for Bailey to wear for Halloween. I have cuter pictures but will not show them because it will ruin your Halloween excitement. :) She has been wearing it all day.  The purpose of my post though is to tell you funny stuff she said about this costume.

In the car on the way home with the costume:

Bailey: Mommy when we get home can I put my mermaid costume on.

Me: Yes

Bailey: Does it have one tail?

Me: Yes

Bailey: How will I wear it if I have legs?

Once we are home with the costume:

Bailey: Mommy why are there shoes in the bag

Me: They go with the costume

Bailey: Mommy, mermaids do not have feet!

Once she had the costume on:

Me: Can you walk around in it ok?

Bailey: No Mommy, mermaids do not have legs.  They do not walk. They swim

Silly me! :)  Stay tuned in a couple of months for better pictures of the mermaid costume for Halloween?  Now, what should sister be? A mermaid? A crab? :)

Semi Wordless Wednesday

The hair might be a mess but at least the shoes are cute! :)

I love these girls and my new camera

I love these girls so much and I am loving my new camera that is allowing me to catch their little smiles a lot easier!

Mckenzie is sort of a camera hog and I can always get her to smile really good for me.

Bailey, however, takes after her father and I have to beg her to let me take her picture most of the time!

Most of my pictures are of her talking though!  She talks A LOT!  I have no idea where she got this! :)

It is much easier to get pictures of sister when she is on the move with my new camera and I love it.  I hated that my old camera hesitated and hated blurry pictures even more.

Have I told yall how much Mckenzie loves the dogs?  She calls them both by there names and is always following them and loving on them far more than Bailey ever has.

This girl loves to dance and now I can get pictures that aren't all blurry of her doing it! LOVE IT! Dance Sugie, Dance!

On the road again!

The pink car lives again!  This car was a hand-me-down from neighbor friends so it had many great miles on it.  However, the back wheels had pretty much totally torn apart and the car would no longer get up and go without you having to push it!  :)

So, we found the car some new wheels and it is faster than ever! :) 

Sugie and sister couldn't be more pleased! :)

Working Together!

These 2 really work together sometime.  The world better watch out because I think together they could accomplish great things and probably get into some trouble. ;)

Marble Race Track

I have had this little race track pinned on pinterest for a while now but finally got around to buying the supplies for it.

Now we didn't make it really fancy.  I don't think the girls would have let me.  As soon as they saw what it was going to do they were busy!

Who knew that watching a marble rolling down a noodle could be such fun.

Sugie thought it was quite fantastic and probably played with it for about an hour straight.

She didn't have any interest in racing them.  She just wanted to watch them roll down.

As for this little monkey she did great!  I was a little worried she would think the marbles were candy.  I gave them to her and she did try to put one in her mouth at first but I told her "No eat" and after she saw it was food and that you could play with them she never put them in her mouth again!

She mostly liked to pick the marbles up as Sugie rolled them down the track.

"Picmic"

If you don't know what a picmic is then you have obviously never had a picnic with Sugie.  I just love when these 2 play so nicely together. 

Picmic time is definitely a time that they get along so great and it warms this moms heart so much.  Sugie will say, "Sister, do you want to have a picmic with me?"  Then she gets a blanket out and sister happily sits right down on the blanket. 

Then she passes out the pretend food and they eat it.  I love that Bailey has such an active imagination and I love that she is teaching Mckenzie things.

I love you so much my little Sugie bear.  I am always excited to see what you might come up with! :)  

Sister Twister - 17 months

Sister Bear you turned 17 months on July 4th!  I haven't done a recap on you in a while and I figure I better get it done because you are growing up so fast that it is absolutely crazy to me! 

You probably weigh about 23 or 24 pounds wear a size 4 diaper and mostly 18 month clothes.

You make me laugh so much all the time.  You bring me bows and tell me to put them in your hair even though you hardly have any.  You walk around so proud of yourself and your bows! It cracks me up!

You love to be just like your big sister and pretty much follow her around and do everything just like her. It is so cute!

You give the biggest smiles and can be so happy.  But beware because you can get angry in a matter of seconds!  You definelty have a little temper

You love to be naked.  You would be naked all day if I let you. It is really fine by me but I really wish you would leave you diaper on because the other day I heard your sister say, "Sister don't pee on the floor.  We pee in the potty!" Thats not good my dear, not good at all.

I think you have just about narrowed yourself down to 1 nap now.  It has been like a 3 month long process but I think that you are finally ready.  You go to bed around 9 and sleep until about 8 or 8:30.  I am really liking that party.  You still sleep about half the night in your bed and the other half in my bed.  I have been enjoying sleeping in with you.

You already have a great love of Dora.  When I turn Dora on you run around so happy saying Dora, Dora, and Boots, Boots!

You talk all the time.  Some of it is babble but much of it is true words. You now know too many words to list and say new stuff everyday.  My favorite from the last week is you saying, "I stink, I stink" when you had a poopy diaper. Hilarious!

You are a pretty good eater and are willing to try a lot of things.  You are still nursing a few times a day and a couple of times at night.

You love to be outside and you and your sister have been lucky in that we are having a pretty mild summer and are getting to play outside almost every evening!

We love you so much sister bear! You keep us all smiling!

Family Visit Picture Overload!

Trev's brother and mom were here the week of the fourth.  Here is a little recap of their stay through pictures that Laura took.  Thanks Laura!

Jude is a few weeks younger than Bailey so they had fun playing.  She told me when they left that he was her favorite cousin! HA!  They "helped" me cook and we may or may not have had egg shells in our muffins.

Nana got to enjoy block building, candy land playing, and other fun times with the grandkids.

On Friday we took them to the children's museum and the kids had a good time.  Here are Bailey and Jude taking care of the dogs

Bailey enjoyed having everyone here a lot.  I think she was glad to have the house back in some ways but last night she told me that having her cousins here was so much fun and that they should come back soon!
