Christmas Eve - Sugie's first present

When I was a child my mom always let us open one gift on Christmas Eve. I remember my mom picking out which gift we could open. It was never a big gift but we never really cared. It started the excitement of gift opening that would come the next day. I am going to carry on the tradition so today Bailey got her first christmas present to open. I was going to do video the events but frankly it would have been LONG and you would have been bored. So, I just took some pictures. These may be long to some of you but at least you can scroll and see what you like.

She was interested in the bow. Which I already knew because as I have wrapped presents over the last few days I kept having a bow snatcher.

I put the bow on her head and then she was very intersted in it and kept trying to put it back on her head.

"See me, I am pretty with the bow"

Ok present opening time. After a little tearing by mom and dad she became interested

and started unwrapping one little tear at a time

I think she liked the paper the best

"A box? They got me a box?"

A phone with a cord!

and it has eyes too!

When I told her that there would be more tomorow she was filled with delight!
Hope everyone has a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Tree Redecorating, Standin' Around, baby doll eyes and 51 weeks...picture catchup

WARNING: The following blog post should be contained in many different posts over several weeks. However, the blog owner has been tired and is thus just now catching up! :)

REDECORATING

If you need any redecorating just let me know. I will send over the suar bear to help you out. She has actually done really great with the tree and hasn't really messed with it. However the other day I found her like this! :) (Also note I finally found a pair of shoes that she will keep on her feet!)

STANDING

Bailey has been standing without holding on to something for at least a couple of weeks now and it seems to get better each day. She can really stand there for quite a while now and has even taken a few baby steps. :)

Look at me I can stand!

YAY!!

She is quite proud of herself!

BABY DOLL EYES

Remember the creepy baby doll eyes when you were younger were the eyes open and close? Well Bailey I think may think they are creepy too.

Open or close them baby...decide!

Hey mom!

51 WEEKS!!!

Wow I have really been behind on the monkey pics and I am afriad these pics are less than desirable. It was actually quite comical trying to take them.

Laying down with the monkey...ain't gonna do it!

Try again...still aint gonna do it

How about sitting up...nope aint going to do that either and you will note fom pics below that the monkey was quickly tossed aside. Guess he isn't her friend anymore! :)

Poor poor monkey!
Some ONE is turning ONE in ONE week!

Blog Slacker

Wow I have totally been a blog slacker lately and even more of a picture taking slacker. I have frankly been exhausted since Thanksgiving! Ha! Anyway, I am in the home stretch now to having two weeks off with my little bear who is becoming quite the character lately. Of course I have her birthday party to get ready for and Christmas of course! It will be a nice little break away from 12 and 13 year olds though because they have been wearing me out!

My thoughts have been wandering back to last year at this time while we were anxiously awaiting the bear. Its so hard to beleive that she was still in my belly!

Anyway, just thought I would pop in. I promise lots of pics and updates soon!

Santa 2009

Bailey had her first trip to visit santa and she seemed unphased by him. It was sort of an impromptu trip so I didn't have my camera and this is the free picture that they gave you. Trev got a few cute pics of her looking at Santa with his but he left his phone cord in Guymon so we have no way to download them but will later. She asked Santa for her two front teeth which have just started to come in on the top so I have been singing her the All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth song! :)

O Christmas Tree!

Well I finally got the motivation to get the tree up and take the scarecrows off the porch. I am excited that Christmas season is here but for some reason felt like scrooge when it came to putting up the tree. To tell you the truth I didn't put one up last year and I don't really remember missing it and it sure was nice not to have to take it down! :) Ha! I knew that Bailey couldn't have her first christmas without a tree so I got it up and I am glad I did because I love it. Anyway, here are a few pics of my "helpers."
This was her favorite ornament and she prety much played with it the whole time and was covered in glitter
I wish I wouldn't have chopped her head off in this one!
Look who is on our Tree! Sock Monkey! Thanks Melody and Andrea!

A close up of my carrot face
Duke wanted a close up too!
