Big Sister

Currently the concept of big sister is no were in Bailey's mind but I do wonder when #2 arrives what it will be like. Sugie is just so sweet but sometimes her not so sweet side can shine through like when she tortures Duke or pushes another kid away who is getting to close to some toy she wants. So, who knows I am sure there will be a little of both. She currently has no interest in babies and does not even know the word. She has baby dolls and when I put them in her doll stroller she throws them out. She mainly only lets the red dog ride in there or some other stuffed animal. Although one day she did let the baby ride around the house once before it was flung on the floor to be replaced by the red dog. So, we should be ok with #2 as long as it is born a red stuffed dog that plays music! HA! Anyway, to tell my family that we were expecting I got Bailey a "I am going to be a big sister" dress and just showed up to a family reunion with her wearing that. Some people noticed quickly and others who shall remain nameless (Poppy) were a little slow on the uptake. Anyway, here are a few pics from that day!

My sister's little girl was the SAME WAY. They tried SO HARD to get her to play with her baby doll. Anytime they would put the baby in her stroller or in her crib it was swiftly thrown out!!
So we were curious as to how she would respond to Jake. Well, SHE LOVED HIM!! They are almost exactly one year apart. After we left to come home, she took her baby doll with her every where. That night when they went to check on her, she was sleeping soundly with her doll. So not sure if that is any comfort to you or not, but there is hope that Sugie will take right to her new baby brother/sister.
