Pool Time!

The neighborhood pool is open and this girl couldn't be more excited!  Everytime we drive by the pool she always asks me if it is still too cold to go swimming!  So today when I told her we were going she exclaimed, "Swimming is no longer cold anymore!"

This little turkey loves the water too.  She has no caution or fear when it comes to the water.

So, I am going to have my hands full this summer.  Bailey does pretty good getting around on her own now with her floaties though.

Hmmmm....how to swim....

Cutie!

Sugie the fish!

Mckenzie was bound and determined to swim on her own.  I told Trev to just let her try.  She did pretty good but needs to learn how to use the floaties.

I think she may have ingested more water than she should have and then she got cold and fussy so she got out.  I figure give her another month and she will be swimming around with those floaties no problem.

Sugie still loves to jump into the pool!

Splash!

She also still loves to be off in her own little world at times.

Mckenzie also loves the snack part of swimming.

Looking for the ducks!

Sweet girl

Woo hoo! Summer is here.  I can see lots of fun at the pool!

Bailey's First Dentist Visit!

Bailey had her first dentist appointment today and I was so proud of her!  She was such a big girl.  We have been talking about it the last week and she was excited and ready this morning!

We went to a pediatric dentist and if you live in my are this dentist office was AWESOME!  I was very impressed with the office an with the staff!  You can visit thier website here.  They have a ocean theme and so Bailey was super excited about all the fish.

I wasn't really sure how Bailey would do.  She can sometimes be finicky about me brushing her teeth.  When I made the appointment they said that they would try and do a quick cleaning if she was comfortable but sometimes 3 years just sit in the chair their first time and that is enough for them!

Little Sister liked the fish too!

It was Bailey's turn and she hopped right up in the "special chair" and was all smiles.

She let the dentist touch her face and then she counted her teeth!  She had 10 on the bottom and 10 on the top!  Actually she still has a couple of her 2 year old molars still coming in.

Next she did a little flossing.  We use the flossers at home but I have never used real floss.  Bailey seemed ok with it so we decided to go on with the cleaning.

She did so good during the cleaning and I was so proud of her!

At the end you get to pick a treasure out of the treasture chest!

A fish?  hmmm...

I think she was really proud of herself too and loved all the loot that she got.  She carried it around the rest of the morning while we ran some errands.  I am sure people were wondering why she was carrying a toothbrush, toothpaste and a fish! HA!

Sister even scored a toothbursh too!

I am so proud of you Sugie Bear!

Sister Twister's 15 month stats

Sister Twister had her 15 month check up and she is as healthy as a horse.  She weighed 22 pounds and 4 ounces and was 31 inches long.  We are going to skip the 18 month appointment so she won't have to go back until she is 2 unless of course she or Bailey are sick.  Which is nice because there is nothing more fun than wrangling 2 kids in the doctors office. :)

Getting Brave

Sugie is getting braver and braver on our playground outings.  I am glad to see her adventurous spirit but it does make this mom a little nervous.  The other day I heard her saying, "help! help!"  She was on the monkey bars hanging there waiting on me to come and help her across!  My little brave Sugie!

Sister McTwister - 15 months

Sister McTwister I can't believe that you are 15 months old.  You personality is so fun and you definetly know what you want.  You keep me laughing everyday!  HEre is what you are up to right now.

1)  I guess you weigh a little more than 20 pounds, wear a size 4 diaper, and 12 and 18 months clothes.

2) You really want to be a big kid and do everything that your big sister does.  You love to play dress up and it is just the cutest thing.

3)  Your language skills have developed so much faster than Bailey's did so I am amazed at how many new words that you say everyday.  Here is a list of most of the words that you know: more, all done, bath, no, ya, up, waffle, snack, eat, shoes, sock, hat, backpack, Dora, uh oh, suckey, balloon, milk, other side, bed, back, baby, dog, momma, daddy, this, that, and probably some more I can't think of right now.  You still sign more, all done, eat, and my very favorite is bath.  I need to get it on video.  I am pretty sure you will be talking our ears off very soon.

4) You give the biggest open mouth smiles ever! It is my favorite.

5)  You love music and love to dance.  It is hilarious.

6)  If we are home you want me to take your clothes off and run around naked.  You also try and put your clothes back on which can make you rather frustrated.

7)  You can feed yourself really well with a spoon and a fork and love to drink out of a real cup.  You also love to eat almost anything and if anyone is eating you think that they must share!

8) You can make a pretty big mess if momma isn't watching.  Here is exhibit A when mom went to help Bailey in the bathroom.  Hard to be mad at that cute little mess though.

9) You walk everywhere now and I have even seen you watching Bailey and trying to walk into a run.  You still walk with your little hands sticking out for balance and I just love that so much.

10)  You still nurse a 3 or 4 times a day and usually at some point in the night.  It isn't for very long though which makes this mom a little sad.

11) You love shoes.  Not just your own shoes but everyone else's shoes.  Sometimes you put them on your feet but sometimes you put them on your hands like this and run around.  It is hilarious!

We love you so much sister bear and you are so much fun.  We love you so much and can't wait to watch you grow even more!
