Little girl in big shoes and small rant from me

There is my twisty naked as usual and walking around in my shoes.  It is one of her latest obsessions. Indoor playgrounds are like a candy store to her.  A whole cubbie full of different shoes. HA!

Now that I have left you with a cute picture of Mckenzie I will go on a little rant for a bit.  Formula companies are brillant!  If you want to learn a thing or two about marketing then visit the marketing department of any formula company.  This is similac's newest product: "Similac for supplementation" It makes me want to barf.  So instead of barfing I will tell you that this does not in anyway support breastfeeding despite their claims to always do so. Supplementing your baby with formula leads to decreased milk supply and eventually to weaning and therefore making you feed your baby with formula and thus more money for the formula company.  Does that sound like supporting breastfeeding to you?  Many moms supplement because they believe that they are not making enough milk.  But supplementing just makes them make less milk and so the decline begins.  Now, I know that many moms do decide to supplement for the purpose of weaning and that is fine if that is their decision but they don't need a special formula to do it.  I think it is just another way for a formula company to undermind what our bodies were made to do.  If you choose to formula feed your baby then great.  Shout it from the roof tops if you want. But if you want to breastfeed successfully then please don't believe for one second that a formula company is going to help you meet your goals.  They are in the buisness to make money.  They can't make money with you breastfeeding.  They only make money if you formula feed and they will market in such a way that makes you think that what they are offering is just as good as what your body was designed to do and what is best for you and for your baby.  I will now step off my soap box and end my rant. :)

End of the Soccer Season

Bailey had her last soccer game a few weeks ago and today they had a little party with bounce houses and food and awards.

We got there early to enjoy some lunch and the bounce houses but it was HOT!

So, we sat in the shade and waited.

It has been an intersting season for sure. Soccer has not been her favorite thing in the world. She never through a fit about going but she never really got the game or seemed to like it that much.  This is her mean face! Still cracks me up!  I think we will take a break from soccer and maybe try it again in the a year or so.  I asked her if she wanted to play again and she said yes so who knows. MESS!

Lined up with her team for awards.  Yes, she had to wear the sunglassses and look like a diva!

She was very excited about her trophy! :)

 Yipee! Go Wildcats!

Donuts with Dads

Bailey had Donuts with Dads on Thursday at school.  She was so excited to take daddy to school.  I forgot to take a picture of the both of them on the way out the door so this is all I got. :(

She made him this bookmark and

this is what she had to say about him. My favorite is "he plays dress up! "

Six Flags at 42 inches

Bailey was finally tall enough to ride the swings! At every meal if she doesn't want to eat her meat we always tell her she needs to eat it to grow big.  She will eat fruits and veggies all day long but to get her to eat some meat can be a challenge.  I am going to need to come up with something new! HA!  WE actally went about a month ago and she was like 1/8 of an inch too small so this time we put her Nike shox tennis shoes on.  Worked like a charm.

She also went on the mine train.  Still an old favorite of mine!

I wasn't sure what she would think especially at the end but she wanted to ride again!

So, we rode again!

Sister rode all her usual rides but she still isn't even 36 inches. She would be happy though just to walk around and eat all day. :)

Next up the Shock Wave.  I explained to her that it was really fast and went upside down and we watched it go but she said she wanted to go anyway.  She came off the ride looking like this so I thought she had a good time but...

she said that it was too fast and she would wait to ride it again when she was bigger! ;)

Mother's Day 2013

We had a pretty relaxed Mother's Day.  My parents and my sister and her girls came over for the day.  Trev smoked a turkey breat. It was yummy!

Then we headed out to a little lake by our house to canoe and kayak!

Hanna in typical teenage fashion hiding from me. :)

My sister decided to take a kayak ride.  She really enjoyed it...

until the end when she ended up in the lake! We laughed and laughed!

The girls made me breakfast and cards.  Bailey loves to make everyone cards and is asking how to spell everything.  I usually help her in where to start writing so there will be room. Daddy needs some lessons in that! HA! I still love it the same!

Then a few drawings for me!

Mckenzie made me a card too! I couldn't ask for more.  I am so blessed!

Muffins with Mom

Last week we had muffins with moms at Bailey's school.  She was so excited about it! We tried to take a self portrait.

Her and Mckenzie chowed down on the muffins big time.  I got each of us 2 muffins and before I could eat mine they were GONE! We had to go for seconds!

Twist thought it was pretty exciting too.  She loves to go into Bailey's classroom and sit down like hte rest of the kids!

Better picture of us! Bailey is stuffing her face!

Here is what she had to say about me.  My favs are my age and that I wear dresses adn that I am funny when I am brushing my teeth!

She also gave me this cool little picture frame with her "fingerprints" all over it! It was a fun time!

First Swim of 2013

Wednesday I knew that it was going to be pretty warm in the afternoon so I thought I would ask the girls if they wanted to go swimming.

It was really a silly question.  These monkeys have asked me to go swimming at least several times a week all fall and winter! HA! Sugie thought it was fantastic!

Hard to see but here she is jumping in!

This is where I stayed.  Firmly planted on the pool deck.  Way too cold for me! Brrrrr

I think they thought it was pretty cold too so they spent a lot of time playing on the steps.

They had fun in the kiddie pool too.  To my Woodcreek peeps the kiddie pool is actually working like a splash park where the spray will turn off and on.  Makes it so much nicer not ot have to be hit with the spray when it is too windy or cold.

They had a blast.  I thought we would make it all of like 20 mintues there but we were at the pool for 2 hours!

My towel head! It was fun!  I know there will be lots more swimming to come this year!
