Sugie Can Read!

Bailey is only 18 months old now and she already thinks she knows how to read. She does this thing where she sits on the floor and opens one of her books and says “ bub bub bub da da da" then she turns the page and says “ bub bub bub da da da" and turns the page again. I’ve been trying to catch it on video but when she sees I have the camera out she stops what she’s doing and starts trying to get the camera. Today I finally caught her. The lighting was bad from where I was hiding so I tried to sneak around behind her for a better shot but she caught me.

Sugie Paradise

One of my favorite new things about our soon to be neighborhood is the kiddie pool/splash park. It totally rocks because it is a big circle that has zero entry all the way around. There is also a big pool but Sugie is not to big of a fan of it yet. We don't actually have access to use the pool yet but my friend Angie has been letting us tag along a few times. Anyway, I took my camera today to snap some pics of the Sugie!

Fireplace, cabinets, texture and brick is finished!

Yipee! Yesterday I felt like things were moving slow but today I feel like they are in full motion again. The brick is finished, the walls are texured, the fireplace stone is laid, and best of all the cabinets are in! Yipee!

Sugie's bathroom....so I guess i will say something negative finally about our house. Sugie's bathroom is well...like a small cave. The model house that we went in had a media room so the roof was pitched way different and thus makes Sugie's bath room sort of in this little nook. I mean it is nice that it has 2 sinks and the toilet and tub are in their own little room but the ceiling well lets just say Sugie better not get to tall. :)

Morning Walk partners

Sugie and I have been enjoying our summer. We start every morning with a good walk and take Duke along (he wasn't very cooperative for the picture) Sugie eats cheerios and drinks water and keeps me company by singing like a morning bird. :) We have pretty much hit every slash park in town and are having a grand old time. I haven't had my camera in tow for most outings but I will try and get some pics soon.

Brick and taping

They have been bricking away on our house since Friady and it still isn't done. I am not quite sure why it is going so slow but hey what do I know about bricking? Anyway, they also got the walls taped last week. I think they might have been texturing when I went by today but I am not sure and didn't get out. Anyway here are the latest pics.

Brick as it looks today. There is still this part in the back that they haven't bricked and the columns in the front have brick on the bottom but we think tehy actually may have messed up on that part.

My sisters are always telling me that they think that Sugie looks just like I did when I was her age especially if she were to have the whispy hair that stood up like I did. It sort of cool that they can remember me when I was so small. Anyway, this is the only pic I have of being a little older. I think I may still me younger than Sugie here but I am not sure. There isn't a date on the pic. Anyway, I need to have my mom look for some pics of me smiling. I think its pretty close. What do you think?

Drywall

We have drywall! Yipee! Our builder has a 10 stage process and we are currenlty in stage 5 so we are moving along. Next they will texture the walls, brick and then cabinets! Yipee! Anyway here are a million more pics
