Christmas Eve 2013

Our Christmas eve started off with the girls ready to open presents.  They knew they got to open one present on Christmas Eve and were READY!

Ready, set, open!

Sugie got this cool stomp rocket and

Mckenzie got a doctor set.

Dr. Twisty ready to go!

Ready, set, stomp!

Yep it goes high!

We also got

In the afternoon we went to the candelight service at church.  Sugie was very excited about going to big church.

Me and my Sugie! We left twisty in the nursery! She would have been a mess!

Everything was so pretty and seeing a room full of 4500 candles lit is pretty cool.

Santa 2013

I took the girls to see Santa today at Bass Pro.  This is the free picture! Not so great but at least no one is screaming!

The girls talking to the reindeer as we wait in line.

We didn't have to wait to long but we did manage to get in some dancing.

and laughing

Then they climbed up on his lap.  Sugie told him that she wants a "real kitchen that makes real food"

By far my favorite picture of the day.  Mckenzie told him she wanted "stars" Santa was very confused....what she wants is this little bug that projects stars on your ceiling as you go to sleep.  Bailey has one and she wants one for her room.

Then we did a little driving and had a little lunch.

The the girls played in the sandbox and I enjoyed the sun and the view.  It was a fun day!

Santa through the years...

2009...shoeless Sugie

2010....Sugie

2011...Mckenzie didn't cry that year.  I don't know why her eyes are closed! HA!

2012....of course last year was the classic year! HA!

Great Wolf Lodge 2013

We took our annual trip to Great Wolf Lodge and we had a blast.  AFter a few days inside because of the ice storm we were ready to get out. Bailey was super excited!

We got us checked in while Daddy drove twisty around letting her finish her nap.

Quick picture....very excited girls!

This girl had a blast! She was tall enough to ride the big rides and called them the "grown up" rides.  She about wore me and her daddy out climbing those stairs over and over.  One of the hazords of going when it is not crowded is not being able to catch your breath!

Sister loved the kiddie pool and also rode the "tree house slides" which was a first for her this year.

She also liked jumping around in the water and kicking her feet.

THey have one "hot tub" which is really just like bath water.  The girls had fun in there.

Twisty sliding on her belly.  Btw, if you haven't realized I forgot my memory card in my memory card so nothing but blurry camera pics. :(

Happy, happy girl

Sugie still liked the kiddie area but she these slides to not meet her adrenaline needs!

She was one happy girl though

Twist and her belly sliding again.  I got more pics of her because Sugie was off on the "grown up" rides constantly.  I needed a life proof case!

Here little friend Claire was there and when these 2 are together they just scream and giggle! It is hilarious!

Sugie and her sweet friend Cade.

It was a perfect year! Hopefully by next year I will have a life proof case and will have pictures of something besides the kiddie pool!

Ginger Bread Houses

Have I mentioned how awesome my neighbors are? Well they rock! HA! Every year my neighbor Jaime works hard to get Ginger Bread houses ready to decorate and we are lucky enough that she invites us over!

Both girls were very excited!

Sugie's masterpiece

Twisty mainly ate the candy but did manage to get a few things on her house.

Hard at work

Twisty had mess hands..hard to believe..I know! HA!

Sugie adding more touches to her final piece

Very proud of herself for being able to do more on her own this year.

Sisters creation

Twisty eating more candy!

The neighborhood girls and their houses!

The boys of Hawthorn were unimpressed with decorating and spent their time playing trucks. :)

Beginning of December

The beginning of December started off so nice.  Trees were so beautiful around here.  I don't remember seeing the colors so pretty here in Texas before....

Then bam...it got cold and iced! No snow just all ice.  WE got off pretty easy over here in the eastern part of DFW but further west it was a big mess.   The girls wanted to go out and play in it.  I tried to tell them that it was not fun but they wanted to get bundled up anyway!

ANd off they went.  Sister lasted like 2 minutues but Bailey came in and out all day.  She loved collecting all the icicles! Lucky for us we had a trip planned to the Great Wolf Lodge in a few days!

First time to the Movies

I took Bailey to see the movie "Frozen" We had a great time! It was her first movie and my first movie in like 4 years! HA! She did really good and sat next to her friend Cade.  The last 20 minutes she climbed in my lap. :)

Blurry pic but these 2 are sweet friends and were holding hands walking out of the theater.  No worries they are not "dating" HA! We don't talk about boyfriends or liking boys around here so she knows nothing of that. She just sees him as her good friend and they are super sweet to each other!
