Houston Visit

My sister moved to Houston over a year ago ad we are just now getting down to see her.  The girls were ECSTATIC!  On the way down we found a cool little playground.

THe girls ate their lunch and played and played.

Sister found the sand.

It was a lot of fun.  They did great on the drive but it was nice to stop and stretch our legs and enjoy the nice day.

Then we arrived!  Kelsey was so excited to see them too.  She plays so well with the girls and being there was like a vacation for me! HA!

That first evening they heated up the hot tub and all the cousins swam.  It was one of the few times we got to see older cousin Mason! HA! In typical 15 year old fashion he was busy with his activities and friends.  On Saturday night we got to hear him at his concert and he did a great job!  Time really does go to fast because I swear just last week he was Bailey's age!

Twist thought it was pretty fun!

They even hopped in the swimming pool a few times. BRRRRRR

Kelsey and the girls.

They only live about 30 minutes from the beach so we went down to Galveston on Saturday morning.  It was a little chilly.  My sister and I were all bundled up and trying to stay warm.

The kids didn't seem to mind to much and were just excited to play in the sand.

Twisty was right where she belongs...the sand and getting messy.

Windblown sugie

It's too cold twisty!

Mckenzie's tricky way of making sand castles.  Just put the mold on top of the castles other people already made.

Bailey's sand castle. :)

AFter we got good and windblown we went across the street for lunch.  It was yummy

We ate and finished up with Ice cream. :)

It was a super fun visit! Thanks for letting us come and hang out with ya'll!

Bluebonnets 2013

Bluebonnets are out again! Yipee!  We went to our usual spot but the last 2 years it has not been very fruitful or I guess I should say flowerful.  I just feel like we should go back there every year out of tradition.  We also tried for the family pic a little too soon before the sun set and Trev looks like he is being blinded by the light! HA!

This is the first year we found the patch! Seas of blue!

Pretty good this year.

This was a really good year too.

Last year there were not that many either. But it is fun to take a look back! :)

Even if the bluebonnets were not great I was still able to get some good pictures and the girls really do have fun going.  People always ask me where it is.  I don't really know! HA!  It is off a gravel road near Royse City is about all that I can tell you.  :)  THe girls have fun tossing the rocks.

Sisters was all smiles this year!

Last year she was not so happy and was just ready for bed!

Sugie has gotten so goofy when I take her picture.  It makes me nuts sometimes. :)

I do believe there Dad had something to do with it this time though.

Goofy!

Don't call the police.  WE picked a few. :)

My sweet, sweet babies.

Love them so.

Goofy again....

Picking flowers AGAIN! :)

Probably one of my favorite pics of all time of my Sugie. She has changed a lot of the years....

Miscellaneous Ramblings

The weather got cold at the beginning of last week but then turned back to great weather by the end of the week.  AFter school they played and played.  When we got home I went to the bathroom and then found them like this cuddled up watching TV.  Bailey said, "Momma we have had a long day.  We need to rest a little bit"

These 2 are never too far apart.  Bailey has been teaching Mckenzie the art of Magna Doodle drawings.

Sugie with the Pox?  HA!  ONe of the things they had done for the art show at school was to put their picture in a plastic frame and then had them draw with a dry erase marker all over their face on the frame.  Bailey was the first one up on Saturday and was downstairs playing.  She came up to our room and was giggling.  Now do you see why? She had spotted herself all over!

Last Sunday we hit the girls favorite place.  Six Flags!  It was a nice day and not too crowded

Sugie is still about 1/8 of an inch below 42 inches.  She was bummed not to get to ride some "new" rides.  WE told her to eat her meat and veggies and she would get bigger!

Waiting in line for the log ride.  Isn't that pretty?  Funny how you look around at things differently at Six Flags as an adult and not a child.

So, happy that the weather is nice right now.  If you need us you can find us out front playing and eating apples almost every afternoon!
