Excuses

Bailey is starting to learn to make excuses.  Probably not the thing that you should be bragging about or making a blog post about but they are hilarious!  Here are a few examples:

Me: Bailey you need to share with your sister.
Bailey: I can't share.  My hands are too slippery.

Me: Bailey it is about time to go to bed.
Bailey: I can't go to sleep.  My eyes are too blue.

Me: Bailey you need to go and put your pull up in the trash.
Bailey: I can't put it in the trash my hands are too small.

Me: Bailey it is about time to go (from the sandpit at the zoo)
Bailey: I can't go right now my hands are digging.

Me: Bailey it is about time to put up the toys and go inside
Bailey: I can't go inside I need to be playing right now.

HA!  OH me oh my! Here we go!  At least she is cute!

Walkin, walkin, walkin

Mckenzie has been taking steps since about mid march but the first week of April she went into full on walking.  Now it is pretty much all she does.  I love to just see her walking around.  I think she likes it too.

This first one is about mid march when she could first take some steps.

I took this over the weekend.  Not the best video but gotta get one before she is 5! HA!

Cruising the streets

Bailey inherited the little pink car from our neighbors and is totally in love with it and thinks of nothing else right now!

Here she is back when she was about 19 months old riding along.  She has been the passenger now for a year and half and has never asked to drive until about a week ago.  I guess she was always happy being the passenger.  You can see the other old pics here.

Now she is the driver and has cute little passenger herself.

I can just see them cruising around when they are teenagers.

I hope they won't be complete messes and hope they won't ask for convertables.  Although they are daddy's girls right now so he might just buy them one.

For now though lets just stay focused on t e power wheels and not running into any neighbor's cars.

Thanks so much Madison for passing your car down to us.  BAiley loves it.  I wonder what age Mckenzie will ask to drive.  If I know her it might be next week!

Tyler Zoo

I had been wanting to make another trip to the Tyler Zoo this Spring so another friend and I decided on a whim to go on Tuesday morning.  Ironically we went a year ago almost to the day.  Last year it was Tuesday the 12th and this year it was Tuesday the 10th.  Pretty strange.  you can look back at those pics here.  THe girls have changed so much.

Bailey and Kai enjoying a snack with the Giraffes

Sugie whats that behind you.  We enjoying a snack here last year too.

Last year this little monkey was so little and tiny.  This year she wanted out of the stroller to walk.

Checking out the fish.

Sister walking along.

I was excited about going in and feeding the birds again this year but the birds this time were crazy and there would be a minimum of about 3 birds on your stick, arm, head, at any time!  Last year when we went there were a lot of school kids so I guess the birds were to full to care!

So, Sugie looked like this in the bird house.  She tried to hold the stick but they would fly at her and she would drop it!

Sister was like a little fox trying to catch the birds! HA!

Daysha and Phoenix

Big Girl Mckenzie

They had enlarged the sand pit this year and Bailey was in hog heaven!

So was this little beach baby.  I emptied out about 3 cups of sand from her diaper when we left.

We definelty need to make it to the beach soon!

Ahh....toes in the sand...not quite like the beach though! HA!

Sweet sister!

Mckenzie literally laid in the sand and made sand angels.

I had to sneak a picture of these two on the tractor.  We had a great time.  Thanks Daysha, Kai and Phoenix for joining us!

Easter Wrap up

We started our Easter festivities last week with a egg hunt one morning with my Moms Club.  Bailey "helped" me make her little hat.

THis little turkey had fun playing around!

Of course there were cupcakes so she was tickled pink!  This girl can spot a cupcake a mile away.

Sugie enjoyed the cupcakes too.

After crafts and playing around it was time for the egg hunt.  Bailey was super excited and pick up as many eggs as she could.

She even helped sister get her eggs becuase she was busying throwing a fit most of the time about wanting to swing and she needed a nap.

She also needed a juice box! HA!  This girl is a mess and I am going to have to keep my eye on her sweet tooth!

On Easter Sunday Mimi and Poppy came over for lunch and to hang out with the girls.  Poppy was a good sport because he had to help Bailey with her sticker book and that is pretty much all she wanted to do all day.  Also, not that she had to put on her new Princess PJs over her clothes.

Mimi and Mckenzie playing peek a boo!

Mckenzie playing around.  We had taken her shirt off for lunch and never put it back on.  The girl is obsessed with shoes right now.  Not putting them on her feet but putting them on her hands!

Just like this.  She is also walking everywhere!

Bailey also made Poppy's shoe extra fancy with her new Easter stickers!

Where are the eggs?  HA!  We had a great EAster!

Water and they will grow

Trever and Bailey are growing tomatos this year!  Bailey has been helping take care of them.  This girl can put away some tomatos.  I once caught her in the store eating a tomato off the shelf like it was an apple! HA!  HOpe they get a good crop!

Baylor Visit

On the way back from San Antonio last weekend we stopped at Baylor to see the bears and then ended up spending some time walking around and even had a picnic

One day I will get a picture with both of these girls and me looking! One day!

We were unable to find the bear.  Guess he was hiding or away somewhere.

Bailey loved all the little "footprints"

I wonder if she will want to go to Baylor?

I wonder what she will want to be when she grows up?

This little monkey liked the foot prints too! :)

I wonder if she will go to Baylor?

I wonder what she will become?

These are all good questions.

that one day we will have the answers to.

What I do know is that as we walked around campus and as I look at these pictures it warms my little soul like no other.

I probably walked past this swinging bench many, many times in my years at Baylor.  If you had told me that in 13 years I would have a beautiful family swinging away on it, I am not sure that I would have believed you.

When I look back at college I can remember all of the good times, friends I made and fun times I had BUT

it was also a time in my life that I had no idea who I was or who I wanted to become.  At times it scared me to death.

I can remember walking across campus in the spring seeing couples happy and together and I wondered if I would find someone that understood me so well and that I would want to spend my life with.

I wondered what I would choose as a profession.

I wondered if I would become a mother

So, my heart was warm to take pictues with my 2 little monkeys in front of Judge Baylor.

I hope that Bailey will some day know who she is and who she wants to be.

I hope she will find what she wants in life.

Of course I want the same things for this little monkey.

It was a great little visit and lots of stuff spinning around in my head!
