Bluebonnet Pics 2012

We went back to our annual bluebonnet patch this year.  I was expecting the flowers to be really great but they were not as great as I thought I would be.  My friend Daysha and her family tagged along and she took some pics for me with her fancy camera.  These are just a few of them.

Cousin Harper's Visit

Cousin Harper came and stayed a night with us on her Spring Break.  Bailey and her had a great time playing together.  It was really quite cute!

They played and played and played both days she was here.  If you have read my blog for a while you would know that Harper came "home" in December of 2010.  Wow, what a difference a little more than a year can make.  This girl has made such great progress in so many areas and I was very proud of her.

I am not going to lie.  I was a little nervous when I agreed to watch her because my sister tells me she can be a little crazy sometimes.  :)  I wasn't so much worried about just keeping up with her but being able to keep up with her and Bailey and MCkenzie as well.  Now, I don't know what I was so worried about she was a great little house guest and they all played nicely with each other.

THis is just one of the examples of how much progress she has made and how much confidence she has gained.  This is some little jungle gym thing up at the elementary by our house.  She did the whole thing.  I did stand behind her when she climbed up those little step things because I didn't want her falling off on my watch.

It was a great visit and hopefully she will come back and visit soon.  My heart felt so full of happiness and warmth to see how far she has come.   When I tucked her in that night she was so tired and I asked her if she wanted me to sing her a song.  "YES!" she said.  So I sang the usual bedtime song around here of Twinkle, Twinkle little star and rubbed her hair just like a do Bailey every night.  I was so happy she is now in an enviroment to thrive like she is doing but I also wondered how many nights she has gone to sleep with no one to really tuck her in.  Far to many my friend.  So, I shed a few little tears and kissed her good night.  Harpie, there is only better things to come!

New Family Member

First...I will catch up on blogging, I will catch up on blogging, I will catch up on blogging.....

Anyway, Meet Gus! He is our newest family member. He was Trev's brother's dog but they couldn't have him anymore so we welcomed him into our house. He is blue just like my Misty girl was. He seems to have settled in here just fine.

What do you think?

Random Post in an attempt to catch up!

Holy moly I haven't blogged in a month.  The best lame excuse that I have is that most pictures that I have taken have been from my phone and I HATE editing pictures from my phone! HA!  We haven't been busier than usual but have been up to some fun. The weather is now beautiful so we are enjoying a lot of time outside.

While the weather was colder (I hesitate to even say we had a winter) we did enjoy ourselves indoors.  We have a new McDonalds near us and they have a neat little toddler area with music stuff.

When you climb on the structures it plays music.  Sugie asks often to go to "music mcdonalds"  It has been a nice winter escape.

We also went to a local church a few times that has a little play area.  Mckenzie and Bailey both love it there.

Mckenzie is becoming quite the climber these days!

Sugie!

Of course we go to Bailey's gymnastics class once a week and sometimes go to open gym as well.  ONe day at open gym they had where you could get in the spotting belt.  Bailey loved it and told me she was flying.

We have already been to the arboretum twice.  The girls love to go.  I always spend time trying to take pictures.

As you see it never goes as planned!

Mckenzie was crawling around and the next thing I knew she was standing up on this bench.  She was so proud of herself.  Guess she is going to be my little monkey.

They have all these little house/fort things at the arboretum and the girls love to play in them.
In fact the last time we went it was all we did the whole time we were there.

The time before we did take in some of the sites.  Sister really liked the waterfall.

Sugie and the frog.

I have also been busy on a few projects of my own thanks to pinterest.  I hope to get some pics of them soon and post.  Here are the girls enjoying the new chalkboard table.

I love when the weather is nice so that if it is a cranky day around the house we can head to the park.  Mckenzie is going to have holes in all of her pants before she learns to walk!

Sugie on top of the climbing rock.

Sister now knows how to climb in and out of the red car.  It is so cute!

Sister swinging at the park.

Another example of monkey girl.  I looked out in the backyard and saw that she had climbed up the slide up to the platform.  Again, so proud of herself.

I am still couponing so we make lots of trips to the store.  Mckenzie is big enough to ride in the car cart.  This is great when they are nice to each other and not so great when they are not!

We have even got daddy to enjoy our adventures on the weekend.  Bailey loves a good old picnic or as she would say a picMic"

We are still getting good use out of the water table.

Bailey still takes her clothes off too! HA!

WEll that about wraps it up.  I hope to get back into the swing of blogging!
