Pool Time!

Our neighborhood pool has been open for 2 weeks but it has been too cool for this mama to get in. However, this weekend the weather is heating up in true TExas fashion so we decided to go to the pool.

It was sister bears first trip! I thought she looked quite cute in her polka dot swim suit. I love that our pool has good shady spots too.

SHe actually spent the first part of the trip asleep in her car seat. Like I said poor thing takes 1 or 2 of her 3 naps of the day on the go.

Sugie of course loved it too! I didn't get that many pictures of her becuase I don't think she stood still. Trev got this good one of her jumping in. THe water was still a little chilly but it didn't seem to phase her much. She was shivering for a good hour but if you asked her is she wanted to get out. NOOOOOOO!!!!

WE still have the crab float and Mckenzie kicked back in it for a little while.

She relaxed and chewed on her fingers. Thin she started to get wet and got cold and was ready to get out. So she got dry and chilled with daddy at the pool side while me and Sugie swam.

This isn't a great picture but this is the story of my life. WHile Trev went to get the camera I had Mckenzie to hold onto and Sugie flying off the side of the pool. At least she likes her arm floaties so that I at least have a little help! HA! :)

Lake Time!

My family was camping out at the lake this weekend. I am not ready to brave the heat in a tent with a baby and toddler so we just went out for the day.

My little fish had the time of her life! As soon as we got to the lake and she saw all the kids swimming she started taking off her clothes. My mom has this water trampoline that Sugie loved to jump off of. Have I told you how much Sugie loves trampolines? Oh my goodness the girl is in hog heaven any time we see one. She calls them "trampeens"

Sister bear is learning to sleep anywhere. Poor baby has to catch a nap in all kinds of funny places.

Snacky having a snack after all her swimming.

Harper Guisela wanted to hold sister bear so we let her with a little help.

We brought sisters swing and she enjoyed chilling in it at the campsite.

My sister had playdough there and help Sugie make a snake. She was going up to everyone with it hissing. ;)

SHe also kept making "eggs" out of the playdough and trying to feed them to us. Silly little ham!

Beautiful evenings

I am SUPER behind on blogging so I better catch up this weekend! Anyway, I LOVE this time of year. We have had a wonderful like 2 months of beautiful evening weather. I wish that the days could be this long year round. It makes it easier to get up in the morning and I love playing outside at night. I hate when you eat dinner and then it is dark outside!

Sugie is trying to learn to ride her tricycle but she still prefers to push it with her feet on the ground.

She of course was not cooperative in looking at the camera.

THe stop sign is 3 houses down. It is so cute she rides down to the stop sign and back like such a big girl.

Sister bear really likes the outdoors too.

Sweet girl!

Blue eyed beauty! :)

15 weeks

So, I am already getting behind in these monkey pics and we are only 15 weeks in! HA! The real truth is that I sort of forgot last week and then this week I forgot again!

So, here is Mckenzie at 15 weeks! She wasn't in a smiling mood. To be honest it was almost bathtime and bedtime. ALso, it is difficult to get monkey pics because of a certain someone.

Do you see that certain someone in this picture?

I don't know what I am going to do when Mckenzie can move the monkey. These pictures might become quite comical!

Didn't get any smiles but I think I did get some gang signs from the sister bear! Peace out!

Rub a dub, 2 little girls in a little tub

Sugie and Mckenzie both love bath time! I really can't wait until they can take a bath in the same big tub. I know they will have so much fun playing together. We might have to give baths downstairs though because there is already a large amount of water on the floor from Sugie so I can't imagine 2 girls! HA! ANyway, we have put sisters whale tub in the big tub a few times but then you have to watch Sugie like a hawk so we don't do it all the time. The other night Trev was giving Mckenzie her bath up on the counter and Sugie wanted to sit up there so Trev put her up on the sink. NExt thing he knew she was climbing into the tub like this....

HE! HE! Pretty cute huh?

Mckenzie likes it pretty good too! SHe will smile and smile at Sugie!

It warms a mothers heart A LOT! :)

June Freezer Meals

A few of you have asked me how freezer meals are going and I must say it is WONDERFUL! Best thing ever. We hardly spent any money on eating out in the last month and most of that was from fast food at lunch. I went ahead and gave you my opinion on last meals months. I just edited the post so that you would still have the links to the recipes. You can see it here.

I went ahead and made many new meals last week since I returned to work this week. So now we are still eating the meals from last month and even had a few new ones. My freezer is PACKED! I think I need to look at getting a seperate freezer! ASAP. :)

ANyway here is this months line up. If we have already tried it then I gave you what we thought about it. I cooked all the Chicken for the chicken recipes in the crock pot! It was totally the way to go!

BBQ Chicken Enchiladas - Yummy! WE already had these and they were tasty and you can get BBQ sauce cheap right now with coupons.

French Dip Sandwiches - I actually used pork instead of beef because I found a good deal on it. Not my favorite but Trev liked it. It was easy to cook though so I will probably make it again.

Garlic Green Beans - Haven't tried these yet. Thought it would be a good stand by side dish.

Ground Beef Calzones - It was ok but I think I will make it without pepporoni or with turkey pepporoni because it was very greasy.

Chicken Enchilada Casserole - Don't have a recipe sort of hodge podged it from several places.

Pizza Casserole - Scroll down to see recipe. Not my favorite but Bailey liked it so it is a probably a fav among kids. Reminded me of hamburger helper. BLAH!

Velveeta Chicken - It was ok. I don't really like stuffing so I think I the next batch I am going to put over rice or noodles or something. I had some velveeta that needed to be used so it work out great.

PUlled pork - Yummy. I cooked it in the crock pot.

Moroccan hamburgers - Yummy! OH MY THESE ARE GOOD! Don't know if they would be a fav among kids though. :)

How to Love a CHild

I am not sure were all this originated but my La Leche Leader gave it to us last week and I thought it was too heart warming not too share. Of course, I had to add a few pictures! HA!

How To Love a Child

Be there

Say yes as often as possible.

Let them bang pots and pans

If they are unlovable, love yourself.

Mail letters to God

Plant licorice in your garden.

If they're crabby, put them in water.

Realize how important it is to be a child.

Open up.

Stop yelling.

Go to the movies in your P.J.s.

Express your love.

Suprise them

Say no when necessary

Make lots of forts with blankets.

Teach feelings.

Heal your own inner child.

Learn about parenting

Hug trees.

Realize how small they really are.

Make loving safe.

Bake a cake together and eat it with no hands.

Giggle a lot.

Plan to build a rocketship.

Imagine yourself to be magic

Reveal your own dreams.

Search out the positive

Read books out loud with joy.

Keep the gleam in your eye.

Speak kindly.

Paint their tennis shoes...and yours.

Handle with caring.

Sing a lot.

Go find puppies and kiss them.

Watch for angels.

Watch snails.

Teach them that to be confused is to be ready to learn.

Cry during movies.

Spin them until you're all dizzy.

Welcome Back Mrs. Williams

Yesterday was my first day back to work. I joke with people and tell them that they need me to help finish up the school year! HA! Anyway, my kids were so excited to see me back. I had some even hugging me and telling me to never leave them again! Middle school kids are so funny. It was a great day with them and we just sort got along as we had before. :) Some of them had not acted very well for the sub while I was gone. I told them I was disappointed in them and of course they were sorry. Just like 2 years olds. :)

OF course the hard part of going back to work is not work itself it is leaving these two little monkeys.

It actually went better than I had expected. I had excpected that Sugie was going to fuss and cry about me leaving because she has done that a few times since getting out of the routine of going. However, she walked right in and was watching TV when I told her that I had to go. She started to look sad but I told her that I needed her to help take care of sister to which she yelled, "Sister! Sister!" Needless to say she was quite excited that she was going to stay with her. I thought I would be in tears in the car but instead I felt more at peace than I did when I left Bailey the first time. I think a big part of it is that I trust Marjorie and also know that she knows how I like things to be done with my babies. Also, I know that there are only 13 more days until summer! Marjorie said that Mckenzie did great. She didn't eat a whole lot but that is sort of what I had expected but Marjorie said she was never fussy or anything. So, it was a pretty good day even though I had to leave my babies.

Rolling Sister Bear

Sister bear is now rolling over. I think she did it yesterday once but I wasn't sure if she had a little help from her sister because Trev was "watching" them! HA! Anyway, she has been rolling around all morning. In fact when I sit her down to get Bailey's breakfast and mine made she can be totally out of her little activity mat. Silly girl. It is funny because people are always asking me how different the girls are. There are some differences about them but so far they seem to do a lot things the same. I am going back to work on Monday and Mckenzie will be 14 weeks and 3 days which is exactly how old Sugie was. Anyway, I knew Bailey rolled over right before I went back to work and so I looked it up and it is about the same. You can see her rolling over here. Now for the sister bears skills! HA!

Butterflies and my pictures are sometimes a BUST!

We went to check out the new butterfly exhibit at the zoo. It just started this past weekned and so there are not a lot of butterflies yet but Bailey had a great time pointing them out to me.

"BUTTERFLIES!!!!"

THis is the only butterfly I got a decent picture of. The others were moving to fast. There were some realy pretty yellow ones though.

Apparently I can't capture a decent picture of my child. I even dressed her in her butterfly shirt and they had the perfect butterfly bench but would she look at the camera? Nope! The water shoes by the way were worn at her request. :)

Mckenzie didn't want me to take her pictures either. She was too busy chewing on her fingers. :)

Bailey did get to play in the stream but did she wear the water shoes? Nope, shoes aren't suppose to get wet. Finally got her looking at the camera but the picture is blurry.

Better luck on pictures next time. Here is my redneck child playing with Kai without her clothes. Apparently clothes are not suppose to be wet either. :)

Couponing away

I have a long line of couponing in my blood. I remember my mom couponing as a child and I have done it off and on into adult hood. I have never really been serious with coupons though until recently. I think my grandma called the "Q-Puns" or maybe it was my mom I am not sure but I think couponing has really changed now that we have the internet. I have always spent a silly amount of time reading blogs and on Facebook only now I am most interested in coupon blogs and reading status updates from couponers. :)

I really just started but so far in the last few weeks the amount of stuff that I have walked out of the store with free or next to nothing is crazy! The principal is quite simple. Try to use your coupons when items are on sale and stock up on them. I am sort of starting simple and focusing on looking at deals at CVS, Kroger and Walmart.

Like I said I am just starting to learn the ropes but so far these are the websites that seem most helpful to me. Many of them have where you can "like" them on facebook and they give deals often. . Anyway here they are incase you care:

Coupon Mom - I like this one because it lists the items and the amount of percent that you can save.

Krazy Coupon Lady - she gives good advice to beginners and can help you get your coupons organized.

Swag Grabber - Not one of my favorites but she does seem to post some good deals

We use Coupons - This one is a bit overwhelming and you could spend a lot of time in because it has a forum where people post good deals in certain areas.

Sunday Coupon Preview - Pretty much what the title says. It tells you what coupons will be in the Sunday paper. If it is a good week you could buy more than one paper or if there are none you know what you don't need.

I heart CVS - info on CVS deals and gives you a preview of upcoming deals.

Coupon Divas - I don't really visit the website much but they do post good things through FB

These websites and stuff on Facebook also let you know about good online coupons. A few of the free items I have bought in the last few weeks have been with online coupons. You can print a lot of them at www.coupons.com . Many of the best coupons are under the zip code 90210.

Hope this helps anyone to save a few bucks.

On Being a Mom

Yesterday I had a great Mother's Day. Trev made us all sausage and french toast for breakfast. It was super yummy. After that we went to the park and played and then came home for nap time. I passed out for 1 1/2 hours and then was up until almost 1 am this morning! HA!

So. I have had great experiences with being a mom and...

and I have also had time where I felt like Bailey does in this picture and just wanted to throw a big old tantrum!

I spend a lot of time laughing as a mom. I think it is the best way to get through some of the times when you want to scream. Bailey and I am sure Mckenzie will soon, keeps me laughing all day. You just never know what your kids might do or say.

I love holding my babies. I don't belive in "spoiling" babies. I think that is silliness. Babies were meant to be held. Some people make a 10 step program once there babies are born on how and when they will be in their own bed and on a schedule. I don't worry too much about that stuff because they are only this little once! All too soon the girls will be teenagers and I won't be able to carry them around anymore.

I know that as a mom there are ALWAYS eyes on me watching my every move. I know that I must try to think about my actions because monkey see is monkey do.

I have given birth with drugs and without them. Giving birth without them is a lot harder than you can ever imagine however the end result of seeing your baby for the first time is exactly the same and also a feeling you can never imagine.

Especially once you hold them so close and take in their smell and quiet them down. Yep! Nothing better than that!

I have nursed both of my babies (I can't find any birth and nursing pics of bailey since I got a new computer :( ) It hasn't always been easy but I seriously can't imagine doing anything else. People always laugh when I tell them that seeing bottles in their mouths make me want to scream. :) In fact I have never seen one in either one of their mouths even though they have both had them. :)

I could really go on and on, on being a mom. However, I must stop now because I am too tired from being a mom and must go veg out in front of the TV for a bit before bed. :)
